What this website collects, what it does not, and what happens to a message once you send it.

Who this policy covers
This policy explains how the Sudanese Nafeer Initiative for Peace and Development handles personal information on this website and in the messages people send us through it. The initiative is a youth, community-based voluntary organisation with a coordination office in Kampala, Republic of Uganda, and field teams in South Darfur State, Sudan.
What the website collects
The website has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking scripts. It does not set cookies. Simply reading a page does not create a record that identifies you here.
Two preferences are stored in your own browser so the site remembers them on your next visit: whether you chose the light or dark appearance, and whether you chose English or Arabic. They stay on your device, we cannot read them, and clearing your browser storage removes them.
Services the pages rely on
A few third parties are involved in delivering the site, and each of them necessarily sees the internet address your browser connects from:
- The hosting provider, which keeps ordinary server logs of requests to the site.
- Google Fonts, which serves the typeface used across both languages.
- The form provider, if the contact form has been connected to one, which receives what you type into that form.
Messages you send us
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, your email address, any organisation you mention and the message itself. We use that information only to reply and to carry out the cooperation, volunteering or enquiry you raised. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list without your asking.
Correspondence is kept for as long as the matter is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for our own records, then deleted. If the contact form has not been connected to a form provider, pressing send opens a draft in your own email programme instead, and nothing reaches us until you send it yourself.
Photographs from the field
The photographs on this site come from the initiative’s own activities and are published with the knowledge of the people who took part. If you appear in a photograph and would like it removed, write to us and we will take it down.
Your rights and how to reach us
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to program@sudanesenafeer.org and we will respond within a reasonable time. If a request concerns a matter handled by the finance unit, you may write to finance@sudanesenafeer.org instead.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site works changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
